On the bike... FINALLY!

So, I finally got back on my bike today. I went to my chiropractor after work and he did a bike fitting to make sure that I don't damage my ulnar nerve any more. It was awesome. I could tell a huge difference after just a few adjustments. He basically fit me to increase my wattage output as well as looking at the physiological factors between me and my bike. It was perfect.

It was so strange being back in the saddle after avoiding it like the plague for the past two months. I was supposed to get on my bike two weeks ago, but as luck would have it, my hub broke on my front wheel so I had to wait to replace it before going anywhere.

Now I'm getting ready to go for a short ride (~10 miles) before it gets dark out. Woohoo!!!

Watch out, it's a farty, ice-wielding, bikini-wearing superhero on a bike!

So I am left to choose which superhero persona I should attain for the MS150 Ride in September. Obviously, this is harder than I thought. With the help of a teammate, Crystal, I am posting a survey to get your ideas. Tell me what you think. I am also taking other suggestions. Be brutally honest.

Interestingly enough, a website I Googled offered me this superhero as food for thought. Check out the mode of transportation - HOW PERFECT! No laughing at the special power being a somatic fart... don't make me spear you with my ice weapon!!

Your Superhero Identity For Today Is:

Name: Madame Woman
Secret Identity: jen
Special Power: Somatic Fart
Transportation: Turbo Bicycle
Weapon: Ice Spear
Costume: Spandex Bikini
Sidekick: Hop-a-long Cassie
Nemesis: Marvin the Nasty
Tragic Flaw: Big nose
Favorite Food: Cashews

The adventure begins...

... and hopefully you will be hooked. This is a simple tale of a simple girl who finds herself trying to live a simple life in a simply marvelous city while soaking in as many sights, sounds, and tastes as possible. It turns out that simplicity is not as easy as it looks, but at least my taste buds enjoy the journey.

Cheers,
Jen

Have bike. Will travel.
